Gvendarlaug is a natural thermal pool located at Klúka in Strandir region, about 20 km north of the small village Drangsnes. The pool is named after Guðmundur góði or Guðmundur the good a bishop from Hólar, he is supposed to have blessed the pool and today the pool has a healing power. There are two natural pools there and one is protected, but next to them is a modern swimming pool that is open for public. There are changing facilities by the pool.

Strandir region is famous for its history of witchcraft and sorcery and several interesting exhibition have been displayed around Strandir, one of them is located at Klúka nearby Gvendarlaug pool. It is like walking into another world thinking about how people used to live at the time, believing in all kinds of sorcery. For some visitors the exhibition might even be a bit scary.

Gvendarlaug is located about 3 hours and 15 minutes (250 km) from Reykjavík and 30 minutes (20 km) from the village Drangsnes. From the village take road nr. 645 and then road nr. 643 until Klúka.
