The following terms apply to individual day tours presented on www.funiceland.is. Fun Iceland Travel ehf. does not organise or operate tours and does not provide accommodation, package travel services or multi-day tours. The tours are operated by independent third-party tour operators, and bookings are completed through TourDesk.

Bookings

Bookings initiated through the Fun Iceland website are completed and processed through the TourDesk booking system. TourDesk issues the booking confirmation and voucher to the customer.

Customers are responsible for checking that all information in the booking confirmation is correct, including the selected tour, date, time, number of participants and meeting or pick-up location. Any errors should be reported as soon as possible.

Payment

All customer payments are received and processed by TourDesk. Fun Iceland Travel ehf. does not receive, process or hold customer payments relating to the tours.

TourDesk handles payments to the relevant tour operator and processes eligible refunds in accordance with the cancellation and refund terms of that operator. Fun Iceland Travel ehf. receives a commission from TourDesk under its reseller arrangement.

Tour operators and responsibility

Each tour is operated by an independent third-party tour operator. The relevant operator is responsible for performing the tour and providing the services described during the booking process. The name of the operator and the applicable booking conditions are displayed during checkout or in the booking confirmation.

Fun Iceland Travel ehf. does not control the operation of the tours and is not responsible for operational changes, delays, accidents, injuries, losses or cancellations caused by the tour operator or by circumstances outside the control of Fun Iceland Travel ehf.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights that customers may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.

Changes and cancellations

Cancellation and refund conditions vary between tour operators. The applicable conditions are displayed during the booking process and should be reviewed carefully before payment is confirmed.

Cancellation and refund requests relating to TourDesk bookings should be sent to [email protected]. TourDesk processes eligible refunds according to the terms of the relevant tour operator. Fun Iceland Travel ehf. does not process cancellations or refunds and does not receive the customer’s payment.

The tour operator may change or cancel a tour because of weather, road conditions, safety concerns, insufficient participation or other operational circumstances. Any available alternatives or refunds will be handled in accordance with the operator’s terms.

Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for reviewing all information relating to the tour before booking, including age limits, health and fitness requirements, clothing and equipment requirements, meeting points, pick-up information and arrival times.

Customers must arrive at the stated meeting or pick-up location at the required time. A tour operator may refuse participation where a customer does not meet the stated safety, age, health, clothing or equipment requirements.

We recommend that all travellers have appropriate travel insurance covering cancellations, medical expenses, accidents, personal belongings and other unexpected circumstances.

Prices and availability

Tour prices and availability may change until a booking has been completed and confirmed through TourDesk. The price displayed and accepted during the TourDesk checkout process is the applicable price for the booking.

Applicable booking terms

By completing a booking, the customer accepts the terms displayed during the TourDesk checkout process, including the cancellation terms of the relevant tour operator. Where these terms differ from the operator-specific terms presented during booking, the operator-specific booking and cancellation terms apply to that booking.
