Vogar is a small town in southwest of Iceland located on the Reykjanes peninsula. The town has a population of around 1200 people and the drive from Keflavik International Airport is about 15 minutes. 

The business sector of the town is based on food production, industry, trade and services but many people work in Reykjanesbær or Reykjavik as both are located close to the town. There is a swimming pool in Vogar as well as hotel, camping site, golf course and gas station. At Vogatjörn pond there is a walking path along the seafront with information about the environment, animals and the birdlife in Vogar.
