Landmannalaugar from Reykjavik
Description
The tour departs early in the morning from Reykjavik and we drive into the highlands in one of our modified Super Trucks. One of the first stops of the day is the Hjálparfoss waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, from there the tour continues through the incredible mountain range that surrounds the area and there we will find the Ljótipollur crater full of water.
In the heart of Landmannalaugar you have the opportunity to take a bath in a natural hot spring, and enjoy an authentic local experience, so bring your bathing suit and a towel because you will not want to lose yourself relaxing in the hot water and enjoying the surreal and colorful rhyolite mountains surrounding it. You can also explore and take a short hike in the area to see the heart of Landmannalaugar and enjoy a natural wonder, where the colors of the mountains are impressive.
After relaxing by the pool or a short hike, the tour takes you to the queen of Icelandic volcanoes, Mount Hekla. We will drive up to a height of approx. 900 meters above sea level to capture amazing views in all directions.
