Itinerary
- Check in at Skaftafell Base Camp: Arrive 20 minutes early, meet the qualified guide and receive the required equipment.
- Falljökull glacier hike: Learn to move in crampons and explore the guide-selected route among ridges, crevasses and changing ice features.
- Supervised ice-climbing introduction: The guide rigs ropes at a suitable location and teaches the first movements with crampons and ice axes.
- Return to Base Camp: Hike back from the glacier after approximately three hours on the ice.
