Glacier Walk & Ice Climbing Solheimajokull
Feel free to contact us
Description
Step onto the famous Sólheimajökull glacier on Iceland’s South Coast and level up your glacier walk with a safe, beginner-friendly introduction to ice climbing.
You’ll meet your certified glacier guide at the Sólheimajökull Base Camp, get a short safety briefing, and be fitted with the necessary equipment (helmet, harness, crampons and ice axe). Then it’s time to head onto the ice to explore a constantly changing world of ridges, crevasses and striking ice formations.
Once the guide finds the right spot and conditions, you’ll try a short ice climbing session using a secure rope setup. With small groups, everyone gets time on the ice and a chance to climb at their own pace.
