Description

On this Ice Cave and Glacier Walk combo tour, you will explore naturally formed ice caves and you will walk on the glacier.

The ice caves are only accessible in winter, when the meltwater flowing through the glacier has frozen, and the ice tunnels are accessible. Your experienced guide will tell you more about their formation and discuss the behavior of glaciers and their impact on nature.
You will then make your way to the surface of the glacier, where your guide will guide you through the ever-changing glacial landscape. They will show you deep cracks and unique characteristics of ice.
You will have time to take the most incredible photos of your trip.

The hike up to the glacier takes around 45-55 min. The duration of the trip can be 3.5 - 4.0 hours. Dress according to the Icelandic weather.

Please note that ice caves are natural phenomena and conditions can change depending on the weather. Your safety is our first priority, so sometimes our tours can be canceled on short notice due to weather conditions or security concerns. If this happens we will always do our best to offer you an alternative tour weather permitting. Changes may also need to be made during the season due to the accessibility of the ice cave and the trip may need to be relocated.
