Private Valley of tears- Háifoss and Highlands adventure
Feel free to contact us
Description
Adventure and Off-Road Experience:
F-Roads and River Crossings: The Highlands are primarily accessible via "F-roads" (mountain roads), which are unpaved, gravel tracks. You should anticipate rough terrain, potholes, and, crucially, unbridged river crossings. This is why 4x4 vehicles (often "Super Jeeps" with modified tires and high clearance) are essential for these tours, whether self-driven or with a guided tour.
Hiking Opportunities: The Highlands are a hiker's paradise. Many tours incorporate stops for short walks or offer options for longer treks, like sections of the famous Laugavegur trail (connecting Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk).
Remote and Untamed: The Highlands are largely uninhabited, offering a sense of profound solitude and untouched wilderness. You'll often find yourself far from crowds, allowing for a deeper connection with nature.
The regular Valley of Tears tour includes locations in the itinerary, but the tour is customizable. Contact for customization.
