Ivanka Trump has posted a new carousel from the Blue Lagoon, adding another chapter to the family’s June visit to Iceland. The post is a relaxed, very Icelandic-looking reminder that some holiday photos practically caption themselves.
The carousel is simply titled The Blue Lagoon and includes moments from the geothermal lagoon with her sons Joseph and Theodore. Against the black lava walls and pale-blue water, it is not difficult to see why this particular stop has become one of Iceland’s most recognisable travel experiences.
The family’s Iceland trip also included time in North Iceland. See our earlier story about the photos Ivanka shared from the rest of the visit.
Set in the lava fields of Reykjanes, close to Keflavík Airport, the Blue Lagoon combines mineral-rich geothermal seawater, dramatic dark rock and open sky. It is one of those places that changes with the weather: silver under cloud, bright turquoise in sunshine and quietly atmospheric in mist.
For visitors, it is worth reserving entry in advance and allowing time to enjoy the setting rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. The lagoon is an easy addition at the beginning or end of an Iceland itinerary, especially for anyone arriving through Keflavík.
