Olivia Rodrigo's short Iceland visit included a run through heavy rain, a stop at a Reykjavik record shop and a TikTok filmed in the Icelandic landscape.
When Fun Iceland first reported that Olivia Rodrigo had arrived in Iceland on July 17, little was known about how the singer would spend her time here. A new report from Icelandic news outlet Visir now gives fans a closer look at her rainy Iceland break before she left the country on July 21.
Rodrigo shared a video on her official TikTok account showing her running through a downpour in a green Icelandic valley. Visir identified the setting as appearing to be near Helgufoss in Mosfellsdalur, a peaceful countryside area within easy reach of Reykjavik. The exact running route has not been independently confirmed, but the waterfall, wet road and low clouds make the location feel unmistakably Icelandic.
The soundtrack is Stupid Song, from Rodrigo's third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, released on June 12, 2026. The clip turns classic Icelandic rain into a suitably cinematic travel moment.

Rodrigo also visited Reykjavik Record Shop and bought several vinyl records during her stay. According to Visir, the shop waited until after her departure before sharing news of the visit, having promised not to reveal that she was there. It was a low-key stop that fits Reykjavik well: the city has a lively independent music culture, compact record shops and a long tradition of musicians browsing without much fuss.
She had arrived at Keflavik Airport early on July 17 on an Icelandair flight from Portland. Visir reported that she departed for New York on July 21, bringing the four-day Iceland visit to an end.
Icelandic outlet DV, citing Page Six, reported that Rodrigo was accompanied by finance professional Julian Croonenberghs and that photographs showed them at Keflavik Airport before the flight to New York. The two have reportedly been seen together in New York, although Rodrigo has not publicly confirmed the nature of the relationship. For the Iceland story, the clearest takeaway is simply that she appears to have shared the trip rather than travelled alone.
Helgufoss is a small waterfall in Mosfellsdalur, northeast of Reykjavik. The valley is known for green slopes, farms, rivers and quiet roads rather than the large crowds found at Iceland's best-known waterfalls. That makes it an inviting place for a countryside drive, although visitors should always respect private land, marked access and local conditions.

Rodrigo, a three-time Grammy winner who broke through globally with Drivers License in 2021, is preparing for her Unraveled Tour. The tour is scheduled to begin in the United States on September 25 before later dates in Europe and the United Kingdom.
