Description

Discover South Iceland from the saddle of the friendly Icelandic horse, riding through open countryside where volcanic earth, mountain views and fresh coastal air set the scene.

The smooth tölt, compact strength and calm character of this remarkable breed make the experience as distinctly Icelandic as the landscape itself. Clear organisation and expert guidance make it easy to relax into the experience and enjoy every memorable moment.

The group tries the smooth tölt when ability and route permit, but does not gallop. Pickup is normally only offered for pre-arranged groups of eight or more.

The compact route is designed to feel approachable while still giving guests time to learn the basic cues and experience the distinctive temperament of the Icelandic horse.
