The tour is designed for first-time glacier hikers aged ten and over. Crampons and safety equipment are fitted at the base, and the guide chooses a route that suits the day’s ice and the group’s pace.

Meeting point: Skaftafell Base beside the national park visitor centre. Arrive 20 minutes before departure.

- Allow approximately 3½ hours, including 1½–2 hours on the ice.
- The local parking fee is not included and must be paid at the site.
- Rain gear, hiking boots and warm clothing are not included unless booked as extras.
