Waterfalls and Reynisfjara frame the ice experience with very different forms of South Iceland geology. Seljalandsfoss falls from an old sea cliff, Skógafoss creates spray and frequent rainbows, and Reynisfjara shows columnar basalt beside a powerful ocean. This is a scheduled small-group tour, not a private departure.

Begin the adventure with a comfortable departure from the confirmed meeting point, then watch the landscape open into lava fields, coastal lowlands and distant glaciers.
Seljalandsfoss
Walk-behind waterfall when open
Seljalandsfoss plunges about 60 metres from an ancient sea cliff in a slender curtain of water. Its unforgettable feature is the pathway that curves behind the cascade, opening a remarkable view through the falling water towards the South Iceland lowlands.
Skógafoss
60-metre waterfall
One of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, Skógafoss drops in a single dramatic curtain from cliffs that once met the ocean. The lower viewpoint puts you close to its roar, while the upper platform reveals the river, green highlands and South Coast beyond.

Prepare for the glacier
The sweeping ice of Sólheimajökull descends between black mountains from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Close views reveal sculpted ridges, blue ice and centuries of volcanic ash—an unforgettable portrait of Iceland’s fire-and-ice geology.
