Experience the spectacular variety of Iceland’s South Coast, where powerful waterfalls, glacier-capped volcanoes and sweeping black-sand shores create a new highlight around every bend.
The route brings together Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey and Vík, creating a beautifully varied day of natural wonders and memorable viewpoints. A private format adds a comfortable pace, personal attention and room to enjoy the views without rushing from one highlight to the next.
Lunch is purchased in Vík. On the return, an interactive volcano exhibition can be added if time and interest allow; admission is not included. Dyrhólaey access remains dependent on season, road and weather.

Vík

Iceland’s southernmost mainland village sits beneath dramatic cliffs with the Reynisdrangar stacks just offshore. Vík combines sweeping coastal views, a landmark red-roofed church and an easy chance to enjoy the character of a small Icelandic community.
Reynisfjara
Black sand and sea stacks

Dyrhólaey

Dyrhólaey rises above the South Coast in a dramatic headland crowned by a natural rock arch. From its viewpoints, black-sand beaches stretch towards distant glaciers, Reynisdrangar stands offshore and puffins can often be seen along the grassy cliffs from late spring into summer.
Skógafoss
Powerful 60-metre waterfall
One of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, Skógafoss drops in a single dramatic curtain from cliffs that once met the ocean. The lower viewpoint puts you close to its roar, while the upper platform reveals the river, green highlands and South Coast beyond.
