Meet at the Skaftafell meeting point, west of Hofgarður, 20 minutes before departure. After check-in, receive boots, crampons, helmet, harness and ice axes before travelling towards the glacier.

Walk from the valley onto blue ice and learn to move securely in crampons. The guide introduces crevasses, moulins and frozen formations that shift from season to season.
