The route brings together Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara, Sólheimajökull and Vík, creating a beautifully varied day of natural wonders and memorable viewpoints. A thoughtfully planned route makes the day feel effortless, leaving you free to enjoy the views, stories and unforgettable photo moments.
At Sólheimajökull, the group views the glacier from land; a glacier hike is not included. Reynisfjara requires careful attention to the warning system and the guide because waves can travel much farther up the beach than expected.
Food is purchased during the break in Vík. The tour is not suitable for children under four or travellers who cannot manage the natural paths and steps at the stops.

Skógafoss

Reynisfjara
Black sand and basalt coast
Reynisfjara is a spectacular meeting of jet-black sand, geometric basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the North Atlantic. The wild surf gives the beach its unforgettable energy, but sneaker waves are powerful and unpredictable—always follow the warning lights and your guide’s instructions.
Vík
Village break
Vík is a colourful coastal village set between green mountains, black-sand beaches and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Its hilltop church and ocean viewpoints create a classic South Iceland scene, while the village offers a welcoming pause on the journey east.
Sólheimajökull
Glacier viewpoint
The sweeping ice of Sólheimajökull descends between black mountains from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Close views reveal sculpted ridges, blue ice and centuries of volcanic ash—an unforgettable portrait of Iceland’s fire-and-ice geology.
Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi
Waterfalls below old sea cliffs
Seljalandsfoss plunges about 60 metres from an ancient sea cliff in a slender curtain of water. Its unforgettable feature is the pathway that curves behind the cascade, opening a remarkable view through the falling water towards the South Iceland lowlands.
Return to Reykjavík
