Skógafoss thunders 60 metres from the former sea cliffs in a broad wall of water that can fill the valley with mist and rainbows. Experience its scale from below, or climb beside the falls for sweeping views towards the Atlantic coast.
Sólheimajökull
Outlet-glacier viewpoint
Sólheimajökull flows like a frozen tongue from the larger Mýrdalsjökull ice cap into a rugged valley of dark volcanic rock. Blue ice, ash layers and deep ridges reveal the meeting of glacier and volcano, making it one of South Iceland’s most striking and accessible glacier landscapes.
Reynisfjara and Vík
