Delta Air Lines will launch daily nonstop flights between Boston and Iceland on 12 April 2027, giving New England travellers another direct route to Iceland's waterfalls, coastlines and wide-open landscapes.

The seasonal service will connect Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) with Keflavík International Airport (KEF) through 30 October 2027. Flights will operate on Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.

A new daily connection for 2027

For travellers in the Boston area, the route adds a convenient nonstop option for a spring break, summer holiday or autumn trip to Iceland. Boston is also a key Delta hub, opening up connecting options for passengers travelling from other parts of the United States.

The new service extends Delta's long relationship with Iceland. The airline began scheduled nonstop flights between New York-JFK and Keflavík in 2011; Boston now adds another gateway for its 2027 transatlantic season.

  • Route: Boston Logan (BOS) – Keflavík (KEF)
  • First scheduled service: 12 April 2027
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Season: Through 30 October 2027

Keflavík welcomes the Boston route

Grétar Már Garðarsson, Director of Airline Relations and Marketing at Keflavík Airport, welcomed the announcement and highlighted the importance of the Boston region to Iceland's North American market.

“We warmly welcome Delta Air Lines' addition of daily flights from Boston to Keflavík. The Boston area is one of our most important markets in North America, and this new connection opens up even more opportunities for passengers travelling to and from Iceland.”

He also emphasised the route's role in strengthening Iceland's links with the United States and Keflavík's position as an international connecting airport.

From Boston to an Iceland adventure

With the service running from April into late October, visitors can plan anything from a Reykjavík-based short break to a longer journey around the country. A few well-chosen day trips can bring very different sides of Iceland into one holiday: the South Coast's waterfalls, the landscapes of Snæfellsnes and time in the countryside with Icelandic horses.

Explore the South Coast

Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss and the black-sand coast make South Iceland a rewarding day out from Reykjavík. Choose a sightseeing trip for a broad introduction, or an itinerary that adds Katla's ice-cave scenery for a different perspective on the region.

Discover Snæfellsnes

West of Reykjavík, the Snæfellsnes peninsula brings together fishing villages, volcanic landscapes, mountain views and a dramatic coastline. These five tours offer different ways to explore it, including small-group sightseeing, a home-cooked meal and a lava-cave visit.

Meet Iceland on horseback

A guided horse ride is a lovely way to slow down and spend time in the landscape. The options below range from a short countryside introduction to beach riding and a longer outing into Reykjadalur. They meet in different parts of Iceland, so check the meeting point, riding level and transfer options when planning your day.

Tour itineraries, pick-up arrangements and available departures vary. Check the calendar and details of your chosen experience for your travel dates.
